Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms set the rules for using MoonBot: the Discord bot, its dashboard and its verification website. By adding MoonBot to a server, using one of its commands, signing in to the dashboard or verifying on our website, you accept them.
1. Who provides MoonBot
MoonBot is provided by the MoonBot team ("we"). You can reach us at the address in section 14.
2. Who can use MoonBot
- You must be old enough to use Discord in your country and you must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. MoonBot never allows what Discord forbids.
- If you add MoonBot to a server, you confirm that you are allowed to manage that server and that you accept these terms on its behalf.
3. What MoonBot does
MoonBot offers protection, moderation, verification and community features. Every module is off when the bot joins a server: nothing runs until the server's staff turns it on.
The server's staff decides how MoonBot is set up: which rules apply, which sanctions are given, which messages are posted. They are responsible for that setup and for the decisions taken with it, automatic ones included.
4. Licenses and price
Some features need a license key. Licenses are free today: we hand them out ourselves, and we can refuse or revoke one in case of abuse.
If paid plans are introduced, their price and conditions will be shown before any purchase, and nothing will ever be charged without your explicit agreement. A license already granted keeps its terms until it ends.
5. What you must not do
- use MoonBot to spam, harass, threaten or raid anyone, or to send unwanted mass messages;
- post illegal content through the bot, or content that breaks Discord's rules (embeds, messages, tickets and the rest included);
- use MoonBot to collect data about members beyond what its features need, or to get around a ban or another server's sanctions;
- attack the service: overload it, get around its limits or its 2FA, scrape it, reverse engineer it or exploit a vulnerability. If you find a flaw, report it to us instead (section 14);
- pretend to be MoonBot, its team or Discord.
6. Verification
When a server uses MoonBot's verification, the checks it chose (VPN or proxy, account age, device, and others) run before access is granted. The privacy policy lists what they collect.
7. Your content
What you write through MoonBot (messages, embeds, tickets, appeals, settings) stays yours. You let us store it, process it and show it only as far as needed to run the features you use. You are responsible for it.
8. Personal data
How MoonBot handles personal data, how long it keeps it and how to have it deleted is explained in the privacy policy: Privacy Policy
9. Availability and backups
MoonBot is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we can change or remove features.
Server backups are a help, not a guarantee. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Suspension and removal
We can restrict or stop MoonBot for a user or a server that breaks these terms or Discord's rules, without notice when the harm is serious or urgent.
You can stop using MoonBot at any time: remove the bot from your server, or ask for your data to be deleted as the privacy policy explains.
11. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, for lost data, or for decisions taken by a server's staff or by the rules they configured. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, nor your rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes with them, and an important change is announced on our support server. Continuing to use MoonBot after a change means you accept the new version.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law, and disputes go to the French courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections that the law of your country of residence gives you.
14. Contact
